Michael serves the North York and GTA region. He has over 15 years of experience in the insolvency industry helping individuals overcome their financial difficulties. Michael helps people deal with debt wisely by explaining all options for debt relief, allowing them to choose the best solution for themselves and their family. Prior to joining BDO, Michael worked for several years in the credit counselling industry as a credit counsellor.

Michael’s goal has always been to create an atmosphere of open dialogue in which his client can feel comfortable telling their story and having their voice heard. He is committed to providing honest, professional and comprehensive advice on the various options available to them, in order to solve his client’s debt issues and improve their financial situation.

Michael volunteers his time to teach budgeting seminars to newcomers to Canada, seniors and to students enrolled in English as a second language courses. He regularly provides presentations on financial literacy, financial wellness and the insolvency field in general. He spends his free time with his family, friends and his not so well behaved Husky pup, Simone.

Debbie has been helping individuals resolve their financial difficulties with insolvency solutions since 1991. During the initial consultation, she helps people who are struggling with debt explore their options and find the best solution for them. Debbie also administers consumer proposals and bankruptcies. As an accredited Insolvency Counsellor, Debbie assists individual debtors with budgeting and credit management, a key part of the financial recovery process.

Debbie understands the impact financial problems can have on a person’s life. She finds it rewarding to be involved in a person’s financial recovery journey, watching their lives change for the better. Everyone should be aware that financial stress does not always come from mismanagement of personal finances. Life happens, and challenges can come along which an individual has no control over.

Debbie is a regular presenter of insolvency and financial literacy topics to various groups, including newcomers to Canada, high school students in the Halton area, students involved with the Big Brothers and Sisters Organization of Halton. Outside of work, Debbie is a regular volunteer at the Halton Go 21 Walk for Downs Syndrome in Milton and Big Brothers and Sisters of Halton.
